| | This operation uses a new technique that has only been available since about 2004. It is regarded as very useful in cases of irreparbale meniscus damage as this normally leads to arthrosis. Even though long-term results are not yet available there have been very promising results so far. This method should be considered to avoid or at least delay teh onset of arthrosis. It involves the implant of an artificial matrix to replace the original meniscus and can often be done as a day case. Costs are in the area of 7000 Euros. |
