| | Cell Therapy in Germany |
| | |
| | Cell Therapy or Cellular Therapy (as it is sometimes called) has been used by many highly placed persons and celebrities from all over the world in situations where other methods did not seem to offer solutions any more. The situations in which it has been used are practically identical with the areas that modern stem cell therapy is aiming to treat, e.g:
|
| | |
| | | Diabetes Mellitus - types 1 and mixed 1/2, particularly when complications have already developed, such as: Diabetic Retinopathy, Diabetic Nephropathy, Diabetic Polyneuropathy, Diabetic Lower Extremity Arterial Disease; as well as Brittle Diabetes Mellitus in children; and Diabetes Mellitus in pregnancy, or diabetes mellitus as a cause of female infertility and of habitual pregnancy loss. |
| | | Other hormone deficiency disorders, where hormone replacement therapy could not re-establish a normal hormonal balance (e.g. hypothyroidism and Addison disease) |
| | | Early menopause, and some other serious gynecological diseases, where the 'state-of-art' treatment has failed (e.g. in cases of early menopause, endometriosis, uterine myomas) |
| | | Male and female infertility, where the usual treatment has failed |
| | | Immune deficiency disorders, such as chronic weakness syndrome, AIDS, cancer, etc., as well as autoimmune illnesses |
| | | Aging disease, including menopause, impotence, depression, etc. |
| | | Spinal cord injuries, old and recent, Parkinson's and other degenerative diseases of central nervous system |
| | | Degenerative diseases of liver, gastrointestinal tract, cardiovascular system, and other organ systems |
| | | Many genetic and chromosomal disease of children, such as Down syndrome, as well as failure to thrive, mental retardation, frequent illnesses, etc., due to various prenatal, natal or postnatal causes |
| | |
| | Many aspects of modern stem cell therapy have been developed by famous German Dr. Niehans who used cells from animals. Cell Therapy involves the administration of either animal (xenogenic cell therapy) or own human cells (autologous cell therapy). As always when foreign tissue is introduced into a human body there is a certain chance of strong immunological reactions which have to be closely supervised to minimise risks to the patient. This is one of the reasons that many doctors hesitate to use or recommend it. |
| | |
| | It is sometimes incorrectly assumed that cell therapy is not available in Germany any more as the government took moves against it in 1997. However the Highest German Court later revoked these moves leading to a situation where there is still a number of therapists and clinics in Germany offering cell therapy, albeit fewer than before. |

| | The following prices are presented to give you a clear and (almost) definite idea of the costs you would be facing if you decide to have an operation or other medical treatment done in Germany. They are based on the assumption that there will be no serious complications and that there are no serious risk factors involved (e.g. extreme obesity, underlying other diseases, very old age etc.) that might create additional potentially costly challenges for the German doctors and hospitals. Prices do include our organisational fees, but they do not cover travel expenses, costs for hotels, costs for hiring translators etc. Please note that not all of our German partners will be able to offer these prices, which is why all price quotations should be regarded as "starting from". If you decide to go to one particular hospital, we will first confirm if it is able to perform the required procedure at the quoted price . |
